EXCESS CRUDE DISBURSEMENT IN APRIL 2009

Excess Crude Distribution of N206bn in April 2009

The Economic Confidential exclusively obtained two tables of disbursements from the Excess Crude Accounts for the Federal, States and Local Governments after the April 2009 meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee. In this table created by the Economic Confidential on the allocations, it indicates that a distribution of the Sum of N119,090,314,931.27 from Excess Crude Proceeds were made being difference between Budget and Actual in January and February 2009, while another  distribution of the Sum of N85,203,891,327.78 from Excess Crude Proceeds was the difference between Budget and Actual in March 2009. All the allocations were made in April 2009 in addition to the traditional monthly disbursements of statutory revenue from the Federation and VAT proceeds which is in another table in the Facts and Figures. In essence three distributions were made: Statutory and VAT Allocations and two distributions from the Excess Crude Account.

Akwa Ibom led other states as the highest recipient for the first time in many years with a total sum of N10.6bn followed by Delta N10bn, Rivers N7.7bn, Kano N4.1bn, Bayelsa N4bn, Lagos N3.1bn and Ondo N3.5bn. Though the Federal Government receives a total sum of N93bn, the details for other states are listed in the table below.
