FACTS AND FIGURES

 

Distribution of N33bn from the Excess Crude Account in June 2009.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee distributes a total sum of =N=33,003, 158, 842.04 from the EXCESS CRUDE Proceeds being difference between budget and actual in May 2009 to the Federal, States and local government councils in Nigeria. Only three states received more than a billion naira each. The states are Akwa-Ibom N1.62bn, Delta N1.43bn and Rivers N1.49bn. While no agency of government was beneficiary of the Excess Crude proceeds, the Federal Government received N15bn.
