The Sharing of $2 Billion from the Excess Crude Account

 

TABLE OF DISBURSEMENT

As governors of the 36 states clamour for the release of N2 trillion from the Excess Crude Account in order to address the global food crisis, the Economic Confidential confirms the detail of the release of $2 billion from the fund in March 2008 to federal government, states and local government councils. The total amount after the conversion to Naira was N232billion. The highest recipients from the breakdown of the fund are FG N106bn, Rivers N13bn, Akwa Ibom N9.8bn, Delta N6.9bn, Bayelsa N6.3bn, Kano N4.6bn and Ondo N4.1bn. The least recipients with less than N2billion each are Gombe, Nasarawa and Ebonyi States.
