Federation Account: The Sharing of N254bn in March
2009
Gross summary of Statutory Revenue and VAT
Allocations at FAAC in March 2009
The Economic Confidential magazine provides
here the distribution of a total sum of N254 billion which was
shared to all tiers of government at the March 2009 meeting of the
monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) in Makurdi,
Benue State which comprised Statutory allocation and VAT
distribution. From the total disbursement of nets after deductions,
the highest recipients are from the oil producing states with Rivers
receiving N11bn, Akwa Ibom N8.3bn, Delta N6bn and Bayelsa N5bn. The
highest recipients from non-oil –producing states are Lagos N7.6bn
and Kano 5.5bn.
The lowest recipients with as is revealed in the
table are Gombe N2.2bn, Nasarawa N2.2bn, Ebonyi N2.2bn and Ekiti
N2.2bn. The Economic Confidential can also confirm
other disbursements in March 2009: Federal N104bn, FCT Councils
N711million, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) N1.5bn, and Federal
Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) N2.7bn.
The other disbursement of $1.5bn from Foreign Excess
